Piranesi’s house is bizarre. It’s no ordinary building. It has infinite rooms and endless corridors. Moreover, the walls are lined with thousands of different statues. There is an ocean imprisoned in this strange house. The waves crash on the stairwells, wash across the rooms, and flood the halls. But Piranesi knows the tides as he knows the pattern of the labyrinth. There is one other person in this odd place. He is called The Other. The Other visits Piranesi twice a week, and they have meetings where Piranesi helps The Other in his research work on A Great and Secret Knowledge.

Piranesi lives to explore the peculiar house. While exploring the labyrinth one day, Piranesi’s familiar world is threatened when he discovers there is another person in the house. What follows is a series of events that make Piranesi question everything he has ever known. This atmospheric, fantastical mystery slowly draws the reader in with its impressive world building, storytelling, and unique plot. The dark academia theme of this story makes it even more intriguing and enjoyable.
