A spy who became a killer; a convict who is after revenge; a runaway with a privileged background; a Grisha who uses her magic to survive the slums; a sharpshooter who is a gambler. The mission is risky, and the crew members are unpredictable enough to make the heist even more dangerous.

The writing style is engaging. And the character work here is beautiful. You get to know the past of the characters as the story progresses. The mysteries surrounding their backgrounds slowly get revealed. This is a book filled with morally gray characters, and it is done exceptionally well. The relationship between the characters is the highlight of this story. Every character is very distinct and unique. Diversity is a huge part of this story.
The plot is interesting from the start. The beginning is a bit slow, but it picks up the pace later on. The twists and turns will keep you on your toes. An enjoyable read for the young adult audience.
