Where They Found Her – Kimberly Mccreight
This story follows Molly Anderson, who moves to a small town with her family after losing a child. One day at the end of winter, a dead body of an infant is found in the woods near the university campus. Molly gets tasked with the job of reporting that crime as a journalist. But it is a risky business for her. The death of her child still haunts her, and this case may throw her down a depressive spiral again. But she needs the answers. She needs to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Sandy desperately searches for her mother, who has gone missing, and Barbara doesn’t know what to do with her son’s sudden outbursts.
As Molly investigates, she finds out the darkest secrets of the town and a history of unreported sexual assaults going back twenty years. The three protagonists are intertwined with each other, like the secrets are tangled here. And no one is ready for the truth.
Told from multiple perspectives, this psychological thriller does an excellent job of keeping the reader engaged throughout the whole book. The complex narrative style keeps the reader guessing about the culprit until the shocking revelation. An entertaining book through and through.
